Vigor Privacy Policy

Vigor ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

We designed Vigor to be used without login, without storing your name, email, or identity, and with minimal data collection limited to functionality, performance improvements, and advertising measurement.


1. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary to make Vigor work well and measure our advertising effectiveness. Specifically:

  • Habit Tracking Data: Your selected routines, completed habits, energy level ratings, and progress — stored locally on your device.
  • Device Data: Information like device type, OS version, app version, and crash diagnostics (collected via Firebase).
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous insights like which screens are used most, session length, and feature usage (e.g. via Firebase or Mixpanel).
  • Purchase Events: Purchase events (including purchases from ads) via RevenueCat, anonymized and not tied to your personal identity.
  • Advertising Identifiers: Device advertising ID (IDFA on iOS) and related data used to measure ad campaign performance and attribute app installs to specific ads.

We do not collect:

  • Email addresses, names, or login credentials
  • Health data regulated under HIPAA
  • GPS/location, contacts, or microphone access


2. How We Use Your Data

We use the limited data we collect to:

  • Track your habit progress and levels
  • Ensure stability and performance (e.g. crash reporting)
  • Improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns
  • Handle in-app purchases via Apple/Google through RevenueCat
  • Measure advertising campaign performance and understand which ads lead to app purchases
  • We do not sell your data or use it for third-party marketing beyond measuring our own ad campaigns.


3. Tracking and Advertising

We use Meta's advertising SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This allows us to understand which ads result in purchases and improve our marketing.

You have control: On iOS, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before enabling tracking. You can change this preference anytime in your device settings under Privacy > Tracking.

If you opt out of tracking, we can still show you the app and measure basic performance, but we cannot measure which specific ads led to your purchase.


4. Third-Party Services

We rely on these trusted providers:

  • Google Firebase (app stability, crash reports, optional analytics) - Firebase Privacy
  • RevenueCat (manages in-app purchases from Apple and Google) - RevenueCat Privacy
  • Meta (advertising measurement and attribution) - Meta Business Tools Privacy
  • These services may collect anonymized or pseudonymized data subject to their own privacy policies.


5. Data Storage and Security

  • Your habit data is stored locally on your device by default.
  • Subscription and usage metadata is stored securely in the cloud via our third-party partners.
  • Advertising measurement data is processed by Meta according to their policies.
  • We apply industry-standard safeguards to prevent unauthorized access.

You can delete your app data at any time by uninstalling the app. No account deletion is necessary since no account is created.


6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Even though we don't collect personal identifiers like email or name, you have the right to:

  • Know what data we collect
  • Request deletion of your data (uninstalling the app clears local data)
  • Opt out of tracking via your device settings
  • Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

Vigor is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors. If you believe a child has used the app inappropriately, contact us immediately.
